Power Trios - THE POLICE

The Police, banda inglesa que fusiono el rock, reggae y algo de blues. Con Sting como principal compositor, la banda nos deleito con cada trabajo que saco.

Sting (Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) en voz y bajo, Stewart Copeland un maestro en la batería y coros, Andy Summers en guitarras.

Este Trío ingles dio vueltas por el mundo hasta su disolución el 1984. Los motivos del por que se separaron, nunca quedaron claros, pero si se dejaba ver una constante lucha de egos.

Anécdota no menor para contar es que nos visitaron para el Festival de Viña del Mar, ahí por 1982. En esta ocasión al parecer Sting no quedo del todo conforme con la audiencia, y pese a recibir todos los honores de la ocasión, este nos trato de indios (cuan equivocado estuvo? No lo se) y al recibir la antorcha exclamo palabras “bueno, ahora métansela por el culo”.

Millones de discos vendidos, hits radiales por montón, The Police dejo su marca.

Motörhead, este power trío Ingles viene volando y pateando cráneos hace ya 35 años, y por el momento no piensan parar.

Su líder y miembro insigne Lemmy Kilmister es la mas fiel muestra de la actitud rockera, 64 años de puro sexo, drogas y rock and roll, siempre con una botella de Jack Daniels en la mano, Lemmy es el estandarte de la banda, su estilo para tocar el bajo y su voz rasposa nos siguen dando razones para seguir rockeando, Lemmy es Motörhead y viceversa.

De los otros 2 miembros, han sido cambiantes durante este largo recorrido, siempre amigos de fechorías de Lemmy los 2 mas clásicos y que han estado presente en los álbumes mas exitosos de la banda son Eddie “Fast” Clarke en guitarra y Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor en batería.






De uno de sus álbumes mas clásicos los dejo con una de mis grandes favoritos, NO es Ace of Spades jajajajaja, del álbum Overkill, temon.

Power Trios - Morphine... solo en capsulas.

MORPHINE en estricto rigor es un power trio, 3 músicos en el escenario, pero la gran diferencia de este grupo, es la ausencia de la guitarra, Bajo, Batería y Saxo, raro, pero efectivo.

Este trío norteamericano se hizo escuchar en la movida alternativa, en la experimental, y fue un experimento con buenos frutos.

Sus albumes Cure the Pain y Yes fueron sus mayores éxitos.

La banda dejo de existir en 1999, después del fallecimiento de su líder / vocalista / bajista Mark Sandman el cual murió en el escenario en un show en Italia, un ataque al corazón fulminante.

Son estas bandas las que innovan y le dan vuelta a los estilos musicales existen, una propuesta inusual que tuvo buen recibimiento.
